We believe that providing positive outlets through active engagement and sporting is a effective way to support the mental health and wellness of our youth. We our proud to announce our Youth AAU Basketball program! Starting w/ (12u) boys travel team. Our goal is to add both girl and boys programs across multiple sports as we continue to grow our program. With the help of our volunteer coaches, former collegiate and professional athletes, Mental Health Peer Specialist, and donors, we will be able to provide an experience for our players that goes beyond the court!

 
 

  • Our players will have an opportunity to meet new peers and connect through team building and social engagement. While being supported by coaches of their community.

  • Our players will have an opportunity to meet new peers and connect through team building and social engagement. While being supported by coaches of their community.

  • Our players will have the option to participate in group check-ins, mindful and stress management activities led by certificated Peer Specialist.

  • Our players will play in both local, state and national tournaments. Providing an opportunity to travel outside of city limits and experiences different places.

INFORMATION

 

  • There are NO fees for players who are selected for each team. The goal of doing so, is to remove the financial barriers to summer programs, activities and resources that many youth face in our communities.

  • Each player will receive:

    • (2) Full game uniforms.

    • Team basketball Shoes.

    • Full travel/Warm Up Uniforms.

    • Travel Bag.

    • Water bottle.

  • Try -Outs will be hosted in Austin ,TX. Time and location will be announced in Feb. Expect a March date for try outs.

    Tournaments will be played between May 1-August 1.

    Tournament schedule will be announced in April 2022

  • This program is made possible through the support of The D. Wood Foundation Inc. Donating and/or Sponsoring will provide an opportunity to grow this program to support more youth through out Texas!

    In addition, donations and sponsorships are tax deductible through 501(c)(3) federal law.

    Total amount per player: $475.00

    This includes cost for:

    • Uniforms and Equipment

    • Tournament Entry Fees

    • Practice Facitlies.

    • Meals and snacks.
